Welcome to Baby Wears Handmade. I sew and knit baby clothes using organic, recycled and vintage fabrics and yarns. I believe that babywear should be comfortable and beautiful and I handmake each garment, often to my own design, with this in mind.

Additional policies and FAQs

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
I use eco-friendly detergents to wash fabrics. I recommend that you wash all garments prior to use in your usual detergent to prevent any irritation to baby's delicate skin. I would suggest washing garments on a delicate 30 degree wash, although they will survive a regular 40 degree wash if required. Gentle washing will keep them looking perfect. I would not advise tumble drying, especially knitted garments. Sewn garments should not be damaged by gentle tumble drying, but they will last longer if line dried.

SIZING
Sizing is based on average sizes taken from patterns, commercial garments and my own baby. If you would like measurements of particular garments, please let me know.

WHOLESALE
Wholesale enquiries welcomed. I do not offer goods on consignment.

HANDMADE
It probably goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway: handmade items are exactly that, handmade. If you buy something handmade you are paying for the time it took to make as well as the materials - we all like to be paid for the time we work! I believe that all my items are priced fairly based on the cost of my materials and the time it takes me to make them.
